Goat liver fry is a side dish that is very easy to make and tastes lipsmackingly good. Goat liver is a great source of iron and folate. Very good for pregnant women and kids. Women in general can consume it regularly. Its a family favorite at home and this is my favorite way to cook liver.
This liver fry is a staple at home. Weekends are not complete without liver fry with idli and mutton curry. Now the meal plans have changed though! Try making it and enjoy!

Ingredients
- Goat liver – 1/2 kg
- Small onion – 20(Chopped) or Chopped Big onion – 1 cup
- Whole Peppercorns – 1 tbsp
- Cumin Seeds – 2 tbsp
- Turmeric Powder – 1 tsp
- Sesame oil / Nallennai – 3 tbsp
- Salt – 1.5 tsp
- Curry leaves – 2 sprigs
Procedure
- Wash the goat liver in a colander and drain the excess water. Cut it to small pieces and set aside.
- Grind peppercorns and cumin seeds to a coarse powder and set aside.
- Take a heavy bottomed pan and add all the ingredients together.


- Switch on the stove and place the pan.
- Saute in medium flame for 15 mins.
- The color of the liver will change. Check a piece and when it cuts easily, that means the liver is done. Check for salt.



- Top it with some torn curry leaves and switch off the stove.
- Enjoy!

Notes
- Always use fresh liver for the best results.
- Add more onions for more gravy consistency.
- Small onions give the best taste.
- Add more pepper for spicier fry.
